Port Comparison
Introduction
HardBall 5's original target platform was PCs running MS-DOS. This follows up from the previous HardBall games MindSpan had worked on, HardBall III and HardBall 4. With those two games, MindSpan also developed ports for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in-house. However, MindSpan's console porting priority for HardBall 5 was the original PlayStation, leaving the Genesis/Mega Drive version to Cygnus Multimedia Productions.
